Doris Jean Rasmussen

Doris Jean Rasmussen, age 79, passed away April 22, 2024. She was born February 10, 1945, daughter of Forrest and Bernice (nee Yeske) McPeak.  Doris married Phil Rasmussen, the love of her life, on December 13, 1973. Phil and Doris created a wonderful life in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. There they raised their daughter Tricia and later helped with their grandson Cody.  Doris was a CNA from the age of 18 until the time of her retirement. During those years as a CNA, she and Phil would ride their Harley across the country with great friends. In 2010 they moved to Phil’s hometown, Florence, WI.  Sadly, Phil passed away in 2016. Doris decided to continue living in Florence and created another wonderful life with a group of lady friends.  She took up a hobby of going out on trails with her ATV and made some amazing memories with her friends.

Doris is survived by her daughter, Tricia (Travis) Orzel and her grandson Cody (Madison) Lechner. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Russell McPeak and her husband Phil.

Arrangements will be made for a later date, pending the arrival home of Cody and his wife from the United Kingdom.  They are both serving in the USAF.
