John M. Becker Jr. of Hartford passed away at his home surrounded by his loving wife and daughters.  He was born January 21, 1956, in Beaver Dam, WI the son of John Sr. and Leola (nee Reynolds) Becker. John attended UW-Lacrosse before transferring to UW-Oshkosh, where he majored in English and minored in Radio, TV, and film. As an avid sports fan, he played football in college, and coached his children and students in basketball, football, soccer, and track and field. John Jr. then started his career at Grafton High School as a high school English teacher and then went to Mukwonago High School for 31+years. John Jr. had a passion for “cruising” in his Fiat and 53’ Buick. He could be found caring for his chickens, ponies, and other animals on his beloved hobby farm. John Jr. also, loved looking for his favorite records and CD’s at estate sales and thrift stores to bring home and play or give to others.

He is survived by his wife Jean (nee Rosen) Becker, his daughters Jennifer and Jesikah. His sisters, Susan (Patrick) Slattery, Madison, Eileen (John) Werblow, Fish Creek, Joan (Thomas) Lawinger, Platteville, Patrice (Donald) Wedel, Beaver Dam, Teresa (Gil) Haack, Beaver Dam, his brother Anthony Becker, Beaver Dam, mother-in-law Marilyn Rosen, brothers-in-law David Pelle, Greg Buhr, sisters-in-law, Linda (Marc Brunstein) Rosen, Sandy (Bob) Kruesel, 15 nieces and 4 nephews and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father John Becker Sr. his mother Leola R. Becker, his sister, Mary Anne Pelle, by his father-in-law Bernard Rosin and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Visitation will be held Sunday, October 15th from 2- 5 p.m. at the Berndt-Ledesma Funeral Home, Hartford, WI.  Funeral Service will follow at 5 p.m. with Fr. Mike Petrie officiating.  Internment is Monday, October 16th at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Juneau, WI. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, www.donate.lls.org

John Jr.  will be greatly missed by his family and friends.  He was determined in his endeavors, strong-willed, well-versed, and a compassionate person, always willing to help people.The Berndt-Ledesma Funeral Home-Hartford is serving the family.
