Lawrence A. Buhr

Lawrence A. Buhr  of Juneau passed away on April 8, 2017 at the age of 84 years. 

Lawrence was born on June 20, 1932 in Juneau, WI, the son of Martin and Edith (nee Bernhagen) Buhr.  Lawrence married Arliss Preinfalk on May 18, 1957 in Watertown.  They moved to Juneau after living in Beaver Dam for a short time.  They owned and operated Buhr’s Corner Mart until 1976 when they sold the grocery store.  Lawrence later worked as a butcher at H. C.  Haase Meats in rural Juneau.   Lawrence enjoyed hunting, fishing and his dogs, trap shooting and all outdoor actitivities.

Lawrence is survived his two children, Pat (Diane) Buhr of Juneau and Sue Buhr of Oconomowoc; 3 grandchildren, Melissa (Brian) Schueler of Princeton, Peter Buhr of Mayville and McKenna (David) Zetina of Oconomowoc.  He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, Collin, Morgan, Maycie, Alexis, Juliet, Dante, and Luca as well as other family and friends. 

Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Arliss on March 28, 2015; three brothers and one sister.   

Private services will be held for the family.  In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Family Children’s Hospital – Oncology Dept. in honor of his great grandson, Luca.
