MARTIN V. YANICK, SR.

Martin V. Yanick, Sr., “Marty”, age 69, of Hustisford, WI, passed away after a very short battle with cancer on January 27, 2017, at the Hartford Memorial Hospital. He is now with his wife of 44 years, the love of his life, Susan L. Yanick, who just passed on September 11, 2016. There is such a thing as a broken heart. Martin and Susan both loved each other very much and will now be reunited in the House of God.

Marty was a huge Chicago Bears fan. He loved spending time with his family. His favorite hobby was cooking. This man could have been a chef. He enjoyed gardening, television shows and movies, working on cars, celebrations, collecting guns, cold beer, good food, and dancing to the oldies. He was a US Army Veteran from 1966 to 1969 as a 63C and served in Korea. He received the National Defense Service Medal and Sharpshooter Badge.

Marty is survived by his sister Karen (Mike) Kolecke of Streator, IL. Son Kevin Yanick and fiancée Tanya (Goeman) of Hustisford, son Martin V. Yanick Jr. of Hustisford. Grandsons  Justin Yanick and Evan Yanick, both of Hustisford. Granddaughter  Jillian Yanick of Watertown.  Marty has nieces, nephews, and brother and sister in law’s throughout Wisconsin, Illinois, Colorado and Tennessee.

Marty will be missed by friends and family. If you knew Marty then you were his friend. He was very generous and would give you the shirt off his back. The world lost an honorable man today and will forever be a different place.
