Patrick Paul Poppie

Patrick Paul Poppie was born to Eternal Life at his home on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 of a sudden heart attack at the age of 53.  He was born in Waukesha on May 29, 1964 the son of Richard and Bernadine (nee Kreidler) Poppie.  He is survived by his loving mother, Bernadine (Kreidler) Poppie of Hartford; he is the dearest brother of Ron (Jennifer) Poppie of Ettrick and Annette (Chuck) Elftman of Ixonia. Loving brother-in-law of Teresa Poppie of Alabama and Lynn Poppie of Wauwatosa.  Dearest nephew of Catherine “Kitty” (Jim) Gilane of Keshena, Marion Smith of AZ and Florine “Flory” (Tom) Schreibel of Pewaukee, Darlene Poppie of Waukesha and Lorraine Poppie-Schroeder of Hayward.  He is also survived by 12 dearly loved nieces and nephews; Alice, Andy (Julie), Ronny (Abby), Megan, Anna (Mike), Laura, C.J., John, Emma (John), Daniel (Sarah), Michael (Caitlin), and Jessica. He was also blessed with 9 great-nieces and nephews; and one on the way, along with many dear cousins and friends.      

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard L. Poppie November 2015 and brother, William “Bill” R. Poppie August 2015 of Alabama.  Grandparents; Norris & Genevieve Poppie and Bernard & Emma Kreidler and many loved aunts, uncles and cousins.       

Patrick loved the outdoors, from his love of hunting & fishing, to snowmobiling & motorcycle riding.  One of Pat’s favorite memories was going on a special trip his older Brothers to Porcupine Mountain in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  He was a very giving man and was always willing to give a hand to people in need.  He was loved so much…because he loved everyone around him.        

He was employed with St. Louis Concrete & Trucking Company in Lena, WI.

A celebration of Pat’s life will be on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 with the visitation from 1:00 PM-3PM in the Chapel of St. Theresa, 2nd Level at The Basilica at Holy Hill, Hwy. 167 Hubertus.  Mass of Resurrection will follow at 3:00 PM.     

A luncheon will be served immediately after at the St. Mary of The Hill Parish  (Lower Holy Hill grounds.)

Burial will be Wednesday, March 21, 2018 10:00 a.m. at Highland Memorial Park,  14875 W. Greenfield Ave, New Berlin.
