My deepest sympathy to Cathy and the rest of the Aumann family. I don't know what happened to your beloved Susie, but I hope it was quick for her sake. I know how difficult it will be to live without her; I do hope that you can turn to each other for solace. My blessings to all of you as you deal with your grief.

Dear Aumann family, my deepest condolences.
The very well written obituary brought chills and a tear to my eye.
I remember playing in the huge leaf pile in your backyard with Susie. She was full of so much life and happiness. I remember her riding her 3 wheel bike around when I was a kid thinking that is the most awesome bike ever. She always had a cheerful smile and I am sure will be sadly missed. I often thought that God only places his "special" children in families that he knows will give them the most love! No doubt she was a blessing to your family and all who met her.
My sincere sympathy to all.

Dear Ann, Thank you for your kind words remembering Susie. She really was one of a kind, and you're right, she had such a capacity for pure happiness and lived so in the moment! You have had a recent loss in your family as well as I understand, and my sympathies to you and yours as well. It was a different time growing up for us all and I have fond memories of the old neighborhood.

My condolences to the Aumann family for your loss. It seems so unfair that death should have the power to take away someone you love. But God's Word, the Bible, provides a hope that it is possible to be reunited with Susan again in the near future, right here on earth under peaceful and healthy conditions. Jesus promised at John 5:28 that millions now dead will live again. This is the hope of the resurrection. And since Jesus made this promise, we can be certain that he is both willing and able to fulfill it. Once again, I express my deepest sympathy.
