William Leroy Germer

William LeRoy Germer, age 86, of Hustisford, WI passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2015 at his home with the love of his family surrounding him.  Born on July 9, 1929 to William H. and Alma (Griepentrog) Germer in Hustisford, WI.  Bill married the love of his life Claudine M. Weymier on January 13, 1951 in Horicon, WI.  Bill served his country in the US Army during the Korean War.  Upon his return he worked as a dairy farmer.  Bill was a lifelong member of Bethany Lutheran Church, the Rod and Gun Club as a charter member, was on the Hustisford Town Board for 25 years, the Hustisford Library Board for 25 years, the Hustisford Lake District  and the Lake Sinissippi Association for 25 years.  Bill was also a member of the Hustisford American Legion Post 420, the Hartford VFW Post 8834 and the Watertown DAV Chapter 63.  Bill enjoyed hunting, camping, meeting and talking with people.  Bill was a proud Veteran and will always be remembered by his family as a people person. 

Surviving Bill are his wife of 64 years: Claudine of Hustisford, 2 daughters:  Kristine (Lynn) Held of Stevens Point, WI and Kathleen (Kerry) Pieper of Hustisford, WI, 7 grandchildren: Nicole (John) Paulson, Victoria (John) Pahl, William (Ashley) Held, Angela (Jason) Baerber, Adam (Michelle) Pieper, Philip Pieper and Abigail Pieper, 7 great grandchildren: Cayson and Nash Paulson, Hunter Held, Dylan, Alley and Annie Baerber and Owen Peiper, a brother-in-law: Tom (Sheila) Weymier, nieces, nephews and many good friends.

Preceding him in death are his parents, a sister: Lorraine Henning and a brother-in-law: William Henning.

Funeral services for William will be 1:00PM on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Hustisford, with the Rev. Timothy Bauer officiating.  Military honors will be held at the Hustisford Cemetery following.  Visitation will be Tuesday, December 29, 2015 from 5:00PM-8:00Pm and again on Wednesday from 11:00AM until the time of services all at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church.  The Bernd-Ledesma Funeral Home is serving the family.
