Doug was one of the kindest and most caring people I've ever known. His contributions to the Hartford Community, the City Band, the Schools and his church were certainly notable. He left a legacy like none other. Rest in Peace Doug!

Dear Mrs. Smith, Jim & Liz and all the family,
Our deepest sympathies on the loss of a kind and loving man. Louie and I have fond memories of our breakfast with you in Hartford some years ago. I remember meeting Mr. & Mrs. Smith in Liberia, when they were there with Jim. "May the Angels lead him into Paradise, the Saints and Martyrs rejoice at his coming..."
Love, Louie & Molly

Our deepest condolences to the family. Uncle Doug was very special to me and my family. I have many fond memories including the summer we visited Hartford. We had great fun on the boat and I remember going to the little sport shop to look at model kits. He was a good man and he lived a good life. We are blessed to be part of the family. May he rest in peace knowing his contribution to the lives of so many.
