Gloria M. Dinger, of Juneau, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at the age of 77 years. She was born June 29, 1941 in Michigan, the daughter of Earl and Elizabeth (nee Elliott) Church. She was a strong and loving person who raised three children as a single parent. Liz had many occupations and worked in several types of factories. As a professional cook, she prepared meals to some of the greatest stars before they became famous. She retired after 30 years as a nurse from St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, ILL. As a hobby she enjoyed woodworking making toy cars and a bassinette for her daughter and her granddaughter. She also enjoyed sewing.
She is survived by her loving sons David (Nancy) Artis, of California and Richard Dinger, of Juneau. Also, her three precious grandchildren Samantha, Charles, and Kayla, and her four great-grandchildren, Jadin, Ayden, Addyson, and Jaziyah. Also surviving is her brother Omer (Celeste) Church of Indiana and other relatives and friends.
Graveside service is Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 10:00 a.m. at Juneau city cemetery. The Berndt Ledesma Funeral Home – Juneau is serving the family.
