Michael E. Von Rueden

Michael Edward Von Rueden of Juneau passed away Thursday, February 23, 2017 at the age of 71 years.  “We cannot see you with our eyes or hear you with our ears.  But thoughts of you are with us still and often dry our tears.  We hear your whispers in the passing breeze.  We think of happy times we shared and then we softly sigh.  But this we know, we will meet again.  And never say good-bye.  Love, Your Family.”

Michael was born on September 17, 1945, the son of Bernard and Julia (nee Firkus) Von  Rueden.  He married Kathy Schreiber on September 25, 1971, and she survives him.  He is also survived by his loving children, Lloyd Von Rueden, Roxanne (Kevin) Engelbrecht, Helen (Steve) Kulas, Michael Von Rueden, and Jolene (Leroy) Larson, and by his grandchildren, Tyler and Chase Engelbrecht, Connor, Hayden, and Eliana Kulas, and Emily, Julia, Casandra, and Lucas Larson.   Also surviving are his brothers, Bernard (Vivian) Von Rueden, John (Jane Von Rueden, Richard (Judy) Von Rueden, Larry Von Rueden, and by his sister Mary Ann (Mike) Johnson.

The family will receive relatives and friends Thursday, March 2nd from 9:30 – 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Clyman.  Mass of Resurrection to follow at 11 a.m.  The Rev. Michael Erwin will officiate.  Interment St. Jerome’s Cemetery in Oconomowoc.  The Berndt-Ledesma Funeral Home – Juneau is serving the family.
