Arthur C. Fehring Jr., was born to Eternal Life, surrounded by his loving family. Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at the age of 94 years. He was born October 10, 1924, the son of Arthur H. and Anna (nee Wenninger) Fehring. He married the love of his life, Virginia Ziegelbauer, May 10, 1949
Arthur was a lifelong, hard working farmer. He was a passionate steward of the earth who enjoyed watching the planted seed grow to harvest year after year. You could see him regularly driving his tractor while baling hay and picking sweet corn with his grandkids. He also loved playing sheepshead, watching old westerns, black and white TV shows, doing word search puzzles and making his own wine. He mostly enjoyed spending time with his loving family and visiting with relatives.
Arthur is survived by his dear wife Virginia, his son Arnie (Colleen) Fehring, his daughters Doreen Fehring and Carlene Koenig: his grandchildren, Chris (Paul) Shelsta, Andy Fehring, Pam (Tony) Geracie and Ashley Koenig (fiancé, Alec Kirby); his great-grandchildren, Alaina and Alexis Shelsta and Sophia and Wesley Geracie, a sister, Eileen (Donald) Bell, other relatives and friends
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Lorraine (Elmer) Thill and his brothers Norman (Leora) Fehring and Oscar (Grace) Fehring and son-in-law Steve Koenig.
Visitation is Wednesday, August 28, 2019 from 4-6 p.m. with a Mass of Resurrection to follow at St. Kilian’s Catholic Church, 264 W. State St., Hartford, WI, with Fr David LaPlante officiating. Interment will be t 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 29, in St. Kilian’s Cemetery.
