Barbara Murphy Obituary

Barbara Murphy, age 80, of Hustisford, passed away peacefully surrounded by love at Angel’s Grace Hospice on September 6, 2026. She was born in Milwaukee on May 12, 1946, to Alfred and Glenore Becker.

Barb was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, generosity, and the love she shared with those around her.

Barb was an active member of the Hustisford community throughout her life. She proudly served with the Jaycees, the Legion Auxiliary, Girl Scouts, and the local Tavern League. Many in the community will fondly remember Barb as the secretary at Hustisford High School, where she became a familiar and caring presence to many students and families.

Barb and her husband, Mike, were the proud owners and operators of the Lake Street Inn and Lone Pine Pub where everyone was welcomed with a smile and made to feel like family. She later retired from the Dodge County Transportation Program.

An avid reader, Barb found joy in any book she discovered and could often by found happily immersed in a good story. She also enjoyed thrift shopping and the excitement of finding a great bargain. She was a devoted Brewer’s fan and loved cheering on her team. Above all else, Barb treasured the time she spent with her family. Those moments together were her greatest joy.

Barbara is survived by her three daughters, Lisa Murphy; Mary (Ron) Vezzetti; and Michelle (Chad) Kaltenberg; her grandchildren, Alex Albrecht, Quinn Albrecht, Anthony Vezzetti, Dominic Vezzetti, and Payton (Austin) Massey; her great-granddaughter, Grace Visser; and her brothers Dale Becker, Robert (Mary) Becker, and Richard Becker. She is also survived by many loving relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Glenore Becker, and her granddaughter, Faith Murphy.

Barb leaves behind a lifetime of memories and the love of a family who will carry her memory in their hearts. Her laughter, kindness, and love will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on through all those who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

Per Barb’s wishes, a private burial will be held and arrangements are being handled by Berndt-Ledesma Funeral Home.
