Carol J. (Krablean) Green

Carol “Koko” Jean Green (nee Krablean) passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025, at Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital with family by her side. 

Carol was born on March 7, 1945, in Appleton, WI to Frederick and Violet Krablean. She graduated from Menasha High School in 1963, married her high school sweetheart Edward Green in 1963, and they were married for 50 years until Eddie’s death in 2014. They had 2 daughters, Dena (Jim Dabrowski) Green and Greta (Tom) Bowlin. She was always very proud of and bragged about her 3 grandchildren, Libby and Zach Dabrowski, and Traigh Bowlin. During her life,  Koko did many things, including being a skilled seamstress, running a delivery company, and working at Lands’ End as a retail manager until she retired due to health reasons. She was passionate about the Milwaukee Brewers, with season tickets  at Milwaukee County Stadium, then later watching them on TV and going to games  when she could. She loved her big dogs, especially Patty who brought her joy and companionship after Eddie’s passing. Although her declining health made vision and mobility difficult, she remained fiercely independent and in her own home as long as possible, but for the past 18 months, she made Linden Grove in Menomonee Falls her home.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Eddie, her sister Pat and brother Rick. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

We will always have a special place in our hearts for the caring staff at Linden Grove, including Daniel, Lawanda, Lori, and many others. They provided loving care to our mother through some of her toughest times, and we are grateful.

A remembrance will be held on Wednesday, January 22 at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 4860 Arthur Road Slinger, WI 53086, with visitation from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m., service at 2:00 pm, followed by a reception at the church.
