Dennis "Red" Lisko

Dennis “Red” Lee Lisko, age 80, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 4, 2026, in Juneau.

Dennis was born on December 26th, 1945 to Ewald Lisko and Alice Lisko (Baumann), both of Juneau, Wisconsin. A proud veteran, Red served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict and was a dedicated member of American Legion Post 15, where he recently received his 55-year membership pin.  He retired five years ago or so following a long and successful career as a professional semi-truck driver. He found great joy in gathering with friends and family in his “pride and joy”… his basement, spending time “Up North” at Post Lake, traveling to NASCAR races with his beloved wife, and visiting family in Texas.  He was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, in Juneau, where he ushered for many years.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Sally (Wendt); daughter Jenny Wendt of Milton; and son Ryan (Melissa) Lisko of Lavon, Texas. He was a proud grandfather to Elizabeth “Libby” Lisko and Megan Bailey, and great-grandfather to Zander and Jackson, all of Texas.

He is also survived by his sisters Diane Weisensel of Juneau and Dorothy Dehne of Post Lake, and brother Don (Lolly) Lisko of Arizona, along with many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Alice Lisko (2002) and Ewald Lisko (2008), as well as brothers-in-law Leon Weisensel and Dennis Dehne.

A graveside service will be held on May 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Juneau City Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather afterward from 12:00–4:00 p.m. at American Legion Post 15to celebrate Red’s life.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to American Legion Post 15 – Juneau (www.americanlegionjuneaufamily.org/unit15), located at 162 East Oak Street, Juneau, Wisconsin.
