Eileen Sturdivant passed away peacefully on January 21, 2025, surrounded by her family, at the age of 93.
She was born on February 20, 1931, in Brooklyn, New York. Eileen was funny, smart, and a bit sassy. She was the wife of a Naval Officer and spent most of her life moving around, before settling down in Hartford, Wisconsin. Eileen and her husband raised 5 children. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and needlepoint. She loved children, which led her to crocheting baby hats for local charities. She was a devout Catholic; teaching CCD and volunteering at Holy Hill. Eileen enjoyed visiting her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, creating priceless memories. She extended love and grace to all she met.
She leaves behind her children, Joseph (Vicki) Sturdivant, Michael (Laurie) Sturdivant, Sandra (Richard) Belyeu, and Anthony (Kim) Sturdivant, and her sister, MaryJo Sutherland. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 3 nieces, and 1 nephew. She is preceded in death by her husband, George Sturdivant, her daughter, Theresa Sturdivant, and her grandsons, Jarrod Leitzke and Matthew Sturdivant.
Memorial Service for Eileen will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Berndt Ledesma Funeral Home, 226 S. Main Street, Hartford, WI 53027. Family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. – 12:45 p.m.
