In Loving Memory of Enoch Caldwell
July 6, 1934 – April 20, 2026

With a heavy hearts we announce our dad, Enoch Caldwell passed away peacefully on Monday, April 20, 2026, at the age of 91.
His final day was a reflection of his entire life: full of connection and love. He spent his day sharing laughter and memories over the phone with his beloved brother Sam, sister Sarah, his fiancé Maria Paez, as well as calls and visits with his children, and grandchildren.

He was blessed with eleven children including Gary Caldwell, John Caldwell, Charlene Trieloff, Lottie Jean Stenjem, Barbara Baker, Bonnie Caldwell Miller, Enoch Caldwell Jr., Mariah Caldwell, Krystal Caldwell, Christi Brassington, Justin Caldwell, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren.

He spent his final evening sharing stories of squirrel hunting in Kentucky and his big game hunting adventures in Alaska, Montana and Wyoming. He was quite proud of his prize winning mounted bull elk that he got in Wyoming on horseback, and a two week whitewater rafting adventure with his brother Sam, both in their 80’s. He enjoyed many salmon and trout fishing trips during family reunions in Idaho. Wyoming and Alaska. His life was filled with adventure.

He was an owner operator of his own trucking business, having traveled to every state in the United States including Alaska, Hawaii and every Providence in Canada. He retired from long haul semi 18 wheeler driving at the age of 84. He received many awards for safe driving, more than 8 million miles in his 65 year career of driving semi trucks without an accident.

A proud veteran, Enoch served as a Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean and Vietnam Wars, where he was stationed in Japan.
He received many commendations during his service in addition to his honorable discharge from the Marine service during the Cold War period, Korean War, Vietnam War, he received the ‘Fleet Marine Force Ribbon’, his qualification for this Ribbon Honor signified his acquisition of specific professional skills. Knowledge and military experience above those normally required of Navy personnel serving with the Fleet Marine Force (FMF). He received a certificate of ‘Appreciation of Service’ from President Dwight D Eisenhower for his contribution of honorable service helping to maintain the security of our country during a critical time in our history. Additionally he received the ‘National defense Service Medal’ awarded in gratitude for his service during time of conflict in the United States Armed Forces
He was a man of "Family, God, and Country" who believed in God and Jesus Christ was his savior, he read his Bible cover-to-cover many times and lived his life with the same vibrance as the Independence Day fireworks he shared a birthday week with.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Barbara Baker, a son Enoch Caldwell Jr., a grandson Kristofer Falk, his parents, two brothers and a sister.

Services & Military Honors
We will gather to honor our father’s life and legacy on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend. He will be laid to rest with full military honors among his brothers-in-arms in the peaceful, wooded countryside he so admired.

Celebration of Life
A remembrance and celebration of life will be held May 22, 2026 at the Union Grove Congregational United Church of Christ
