Gene Ramon Willer, 83, of Germantown, WI, passed away November 20, 2024. A private celebration of life service will be held.
Gene was born July 10, 1941 in Boaz, WI. and was the son of the late Kurt and Blanche (Berry) Willer. He had two older siblings, Colleen and James, a younger sister, Mary Jane, and a younger brother, David.
Gene attended Messmer High School in Milwaukee, WI. and went on to work in the automotive repair and insurance industries his entire life as an appraiser and claims adjuster.
He married Sharon Ann Roy from Langdon, ND and lived briefly in Los Angeles, CA where they welcomed their first child, Christine. They moved back to Milwaukee and had three more children; Stephen, Julie, and Susan. Soon after their youngest child was born, Sharon passed away in 1970. Gene married Diane Jernander in 1971, adopted Michael, and eventually moved their large family out of the city to Hartford, WI. Gene was a lover of nature and an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed HIS time at the family cabin and made the best fried egg sandwiches! He loved taking his family snowmobiling, fishing and camping in their motorhome in which he thought it was funny to turn off the headlights while driving in the dark on Wildcat Mountain! In 1986, he married Mary Miceli and added three more daughters, Dawn, Christy and Katie to the family.
Gene is survived by his wife of 38 years, Mary; his five children, Christine Bamford of Mobile, AL; Michael Willer of Menomonee Falls, WI; Stephen Willer of Neenah, WI; Julie (Pete) Schwab of Germantown, WI; Susan (Frank) Parente of Melbourne, FL; stepdaughters Dawn Miceli (Drew Domkus); Christy Miceli and Katie Miceli; grandchildren Anthony (Carolyn), Aaron (Andrea), Seth (Sarah), Sarah (Josh), Joshua, Benjamin (Samantha), Nathan, Grace, Derek (Andi), Mitchell, Sharon, Cassandra, Samantha (Chris), Zachary (Jenna), Laura, Lou, Konner, Kenzie and his 12 great grandchildren; one brother, David (Sylvia) Rosolek of Ventura, CA. He is preceded in death by his parents, Kurt and Blanche; his first wife, Sharon; stepmother Ceil Jelinek; sisters Colleen and Mary; brother James; and his second wife, Diane.
Gene’s family is extremely grateful for the loving and compassionate care he received from his hospice nurse, Maria and the entire staff at Kathy’s Hospice in West Bend.
