George E. was reunited with his beloved wife Mary, who he deeply missed, on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at the age of 72. The picture shown here is how we imagine George and Mary greeted each other in heaven.
George was born March 26, 1946 in New York the son of Stephen and Thelma (Austin) Abbey. He was a loving and proud father to Michael (Makiko) and cherished Grandpa of Bian and Hyana. He is survived by sisters “Sue” Henricha (Michael) Schafer, Mildred (Robert) White, sister-in-law Becky Abbey, nieces, nephews and cousins.
George served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. He was the most loving and selfless person, dedicated to the happiness of his family and all who interacted with him.”
George will be lovingly remembered by sister-in-laws, Susan Dixon, Kathleen Schwartzman and brother-in-law Michael Crowley. He was preceded in death by his sister Thekma (Daniel) Acguard, Alice, and his brothers Harold, and Stephen.
