Helen Rohland Obituary

Helen Louise (Larsen) Rohland, born December 10, 1948, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin passed away May 27th 2026 surrounded by the love of her family. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, resilience, and devotion to those she loved most.

Helen was the beloved daughter of Louis Albin Larsen and Rose Catherine (Pankau) Larsen. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Larsen and Charles Larsen. She is lovingly survived by her siblings: Louis Larsen, Barbara Butler, Rose Foote, Anthony Larsen, Cecelia Schuldt, and Edward Larsen.

On July 4, 1976, Helen married the love of her life, Dennis Rohland, at St John's church in Withee, Wisconsin. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and simple joys. They shared many happy memories bowling, golfing, vacationing in Nevada, and enjoying ice cream together — with Helen famously eating her cone from the bottom up.

Helen was a dedicated and hardworking woman throughout her life. In her early years, she worked at Amy Joy, Butter Bun, and Bucyrus-Erie in Milwaukee. After moving to Eau Claire in 1979, she continued her career with Social Security, the University of Eau Claire-American Ethnic Department, and later completed her career with FDIC.

Above all, Helen treasured her family. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Rohland; her children, John Rohland (Deb) and Sandra Barby (David); her cherished grandchildren, Ryan Gammon (Tony), Zachary Barby, and Reese Barby, Chaning Ogden (Merissa), Nick (Karlee) Karla Pride (Brett); and her great-grandchildren, Colbie Gammon, Xavier Ogden, Isabella Ogden, Byron Pride and Archer Pride.

Helen found joy in art and music and was known to light up a room with her spirit and sense of fun. She especially loved dancing, never missing the chance to move to the music of the Bee Gees. Her gentle heart, playful nature, and enduring love for family will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.

Her memory will live on in every shared laugh, family gathering, song, and sweet ice cream treat enjoyed in her honor. Zanzibar chocolate ice cream was her favorite.

Helen requested no funeral services be held.
