Herbert P. ("Herb") Peters

Herbert P. Peters, "Herb," age 96 of Slinger, Wisconsin passed away surrounded by his loving family in the comfort of his home on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. 

Herb was born April 28,1929, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Meta (nee Peters) and Nicolas Peters. He graduated from Messmer High School, class of 1947. Herb was united in marriage to Marlyss Pascavis. After her death he married Shirley Krahn. Herb was a proud member of Bricklayers Union Local 8 and was a mason for much of his working life. He enjoyed his multiple card clubs all over Washington County, and most of all, spending time together with his family.

Herb, beloved husband, was preceded in death by spouses Marlyss and Shirley, and daughter, Christine. He is the loving father of Mark (Mary) of Griffin, GA, Cathy of Las Vegas, NV, Mike (Jan) of Greendale, Dan (Cindy) of Hartford, Barb (Andy) Bangsberg of Cumberland, and stepfather to Dawn and Brian. He had 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Mass of Resurrection for Herb will be celebrated Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 4886 WI-175, Hartford, Wisconsin 53027, with Fr. Rick Stoffel presiding. Family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Saturday from 12:00 p.m.-12:45 p.m. Private interment will be held later.

In lieu of flowers and in Herb’s memory, contributions can be made to Catholic Charities, Jackson Senior Center, or the Schauer Center, and are greatly appreciated.
