James F. Kasper, 98, passed away the evening of February 28th, 2025, with his wife at his side, at Lakehouse Assisted Living in Lake Mills, WI.

Jim was born on Sept. 2nd, 1926, the son of Oscar and Lucille (nee Neis) Kasper, in Beaver Dam, WI. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter’s Parish where he attended school. He graduated from Beaver Dam High School.

After enlisting and serving in the United States Army, he met and married Evelyn A. Kaul. They had three children, a son Thomas and twins Steven and Susan.

Following the death of his beloved Evelyn in 1997, he married Theresa (nee Miara) in 2000.

In the earlier days of family life, Jim enjoyed Saturday afternoon roller-skating with his young children. Later he enjoyed watching the Packer and Brewer games from his living room chair, along with old westerns. He was active in his church, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and worked at the Dodge County Courthouse in various functional support roles for 37 years. He was an active member of the Juneau American Legion Post 15 for many years and served as president of Juneau Senior Citizens for 10 years. Jim is survived by his wife Terry, son Tom (Debbie) Kasper of Mississippi, son Steve (Laura) Kasper of Indiana, and daughter Susan (Sam) Rebar of Indiana; 7 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, 2 infant brothers, and 2 sisters.

Special thanks to staff of Lakehouse Assisted Living and Rainbow Hospice from their exceptional care and dedicated service.
