Joann Leona (Perschke) Miller

Joann L. Miller of Juneau passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021 at the age of 88 years.  She was born in Hustisford, WI June 23, 1933 the daughter of Walter and Leona (Schuett) Perschke.  She married Merlin Miller May 19, 1951 in Oak Grove, WI.  Joann worked over 25 years in nursing retiring from Clearview in Juneau.  Joann was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed. She enjoyed country western concerts and camping with family and friends.  She loved watching the pro-bowlers tour on tv. Knitting and crocheting were also something she enjoyed. The highlight of her weeks was Sunday Fundays with family, where she enjoyed an occasional small glass of beer. She was a longtime member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Juneau.

She is survived by her loving sons, Steve (Sue) Miller of Casa Grande, AZ and Gene Miller of Juneau.  Joann was blessed with 5 grandchildren; Jennifer (Martin) Rodriquez of AZ, Craig (Shelby) Miller of Juneau, Renee (Brian) Miracle of AZ, Marc (Alesha) Miller of Juneau and Matthew Miller of Juneau.  Also surviving are 8 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband, sister Effie and brother Merlin.

Visitation is Saturday December 11, 2021 at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Juneau from 11am-1pm.  Funeral service will follow at 1pm at church.  Rev. David Brandt will officiate.  Interment Juneau city Cemetery.
