Joyce Weyer (nee Loser) passed away Wednesday, May 21st, 2025, at the age of 92 years. She was born the daughter of Henry and Lorraine (nee Barth) Loser on April 2nd, 1933.
Joyce lived a remarkable life defined by tireless dedication, wit, family and an entrepreneurial spirit. For over four decades, she was a familiar and beloved presence in Slinger, Wisconsin, as the proud owner and operator of Village Beverage Liquor store where she continued to work until she was 81 years old, a testament to her vibrant spirit and deep enjoyment of connecting with people, she simply loved to talk your ear off! Beyond the demands of entrepreneurship, Joyce was an avid sports fan, cheering on her favorite teams with unwavering enthusiasm. She was also a steadfast supporter of countless organizations and causes, quietly making a profound difference in the lives of many. Joyce’s quick wit and sarcastic sense of humor were legendary, and she remained sharp as a tack until the day she passed.
Joyce is survived by her loving daughter Janean (Tom) Handel, her precious Grandchildren, Tyler (Amanda) Handel, Brad (Nicole) Handel, Kara (Ryan) Olson, Krista Peterson and Great Grandchildren, Eli Handel, Kurt Handel, Calvin Handel, Reid and Kayleigh Olson, and Nora Peterson. Dearest Sister of Nancy Anderson, her brother Robert (Judy) Loser. Dear Sister-in-Law of Barb Loser, also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Joyce is proceeded in death by her husband Jim, her daughter and son-in-law Judy (Terry) Kasten, her parents Henry and Lorraine Loser and her brother John Loser.
Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, June 1st, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, at the Chandelier Ballroom. 150 Jefferson Ave, Hartford WI 53027.
Memorials may be made to St Jude’s Hospital.
