June (Hodge) Cowen

June Cowen, 81, of Hustisford, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2026. She was born on June 19, 1945, and lived a life filled with love, family, adventure, and countless cherished memories.

June was the beloved wife of the late Leeroy Cowen. She was a loving mother to Terri Duncan and Michael (Lynn) Foth, and was preceded in death by her son, John Foth and loving husband Leeroy.

June was a proud and loving grandmother to Eric, Whitney, Madison, Mason, and Brittany, Brianna Foth. Her grandchildren held a very special place in her heart, and nothing brought her more happiness than spending time with them and watching them grow.

She is survived by her sister Barbara Scott (Michael Scott) and was preceded in death by her sister Faye Ballard and brother-in-law Charles Ballard, along with many other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

June loved to travel, spend time outdoors, and work in her garden. She had an infectious smile and an outgoing personality that could brighten any room she entered. June had a special way of making people feel welcome, loved, and happy simply by being around her.

Above all else, June treasured her family. The memories she created with her children and grandchildren will remain in their hearts forever. Her laughter, beautiful smile, and warm spirit will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

During June’s final days with us, she was surrounded by compassionate care and kindness. Warren Williams and Colson Leach provided her with such thoughtful and caring support, and June developed a deep sense of trust and comfort with them. Their compassion, patience, and dedication brought peace to June and comfort to our family during such a difficult time. We will always be grateful for the care they gave her in her final days.

Visitation is Friday, September 4th, 2026, from 11:00am - 12:45pm at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church (N4911 Gray Rd., Hustisford, WI 53034). Funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at church. Interment is at Pleasant Hill Cemetery (Hartford, WI). A luncheon will follow at St. Michael's Lutheran Church.

Mom's greatest legacy is the love she gave to her family and the joy she brought to everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Rest peacefully, Mom. You will be loved and remembered always.
