Kathryn Lynn (nee Gilane) Sibley, age 68, was brought home to be with God on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, while in the loving care of Angel’s Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc .
Kathryn was born on July 22, 1957, in Waukesha, WI. Kathryn’s greatest passion in life was being a present and loving mother and grandmother. She spent her life providing compassionate care as a registered nurse having worked in the OR, home health care and hospice. She was an active member of St. Mary’s of the Hill Parish and enjoyed her role as a volunteer for the Holy Hill arts and crafts fair. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, niece, cousin and dear friend to so many. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
Kathryn is survived by her loving parents, James “Jim” and Catherine “Kitty”
(nee Kreidler) Gilane; best friend and love of her life, Richard Katzenberger; her children’s loving father, Mark Sibley (Andrea Musher); beloved children, Samantha Sibley, Matthew (Krystal) Sibley, and Jessica Hope (Tony) Cirillo and her treasured grandchildren, Ellie and Easton Cirillo, Titus, Isaac and Ezekiel Sibley. She is further survived by her loving siblings, John William (Denise), Todd (Maureen), William “Billy” (Vera), Darcy, and John Robert Gilane; dear aunt, Beanie Poppie; among many cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Kathryn was preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Catherine Gilane and Ben and Emma Kreidler; cherished aunts, uncles, and relatives.
Family will greet relatives and friends Friday, October 17, 2025, from 8:30a.m. -9:45 a.m. at the St. Therese Chapel at the Basilica and National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians at Holy Hill (2nd floor), 1525 Carmel Road, Hubertus, WI 53033. Mass of Resurrection will follow visitation at 10:00a.m. with Rev. Fred Alexander, OCD presiding. Interment in St. Mary of the Hill Parish Cemetery, Richfield, WI.

Farm of the Child USA is a Catholic, non-profit organization that supports mission trips in Honduras that helps educate, protect, and promote healing and spiritual formation benefiting Finca del Nino-Honduras, a mission modeled on the Holy Family. Kathryn and her daughter, Jessica, went on one of these mission trips and enjoyed spending time at this orphanage and school. Kathryn spoke of her experience often, which was moving and very dear to her.
