Kenneth L Smith

Former Lance Corporal Kenneth L. Smith, age 77, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025, at The Courtyard of Sussex Memory Care.

Ken was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Charles and Beatrice (Zechel) Smith. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps before dedicating 35 years of service as a letter carrier with the United States Postal Service.

A devoted husband, Ken shared a life of love and adventure with his late wife, Linda Christian-Smith. Together, they traveled the world by air and explored the open roads in their RV, always accompanied by their beloved fur babies.

Ken is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Christian-Smith, and his sister, Sharon (William) Schneider. He is survived by his daughter, Kelli Smith; his brother, David Smith; his sister, Linda Smith; his niece, Christie (David) Mueller; and many dear friends and extended family members.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to The Courtyard of Sussex, Bluestone Physicians, and Brighton Hospice for their compassionate care and support.

Per Ken’s wishes, no formal services will be held. His memory will live on through the many lives he touched and the countless miles of memories he made along the way.
