Marcia Christiansen Obituary

Marcia Metzner Christiansen, 71, passed away on March 13, 2026. She was born on March 15, 1954, in Illinois to Harold and Marjorie Metzner and spent her life devoted to family, faith, and service to others.

Marcia built a career as a grant writer, using her talents to support organizations and causes that helped communities grow and thrive. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and found great joy in her faith and church community.

Marcia loved spending time with her family and creating warm traditions at home. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening, puzzles, and researching family history. Family game nights were a cherished part of life with Marcia, and she especially loved traveling and cooking for those she cared about. Her stir-fry and stuffed mushrooms were favorites among family and friends.

She had a generous and welcoming spirit and will be remembered by many as a “bonus mom” and grandma to her children’s friends, always opening her home and heart to others.

Marcia is survived by her beloved spouse, Mark Christiansen; her children, Sara Nackers, Pam Nackers, and Elizabeth Johanek; her stepchild, Zachary Christiansen; and her cherished grandchildren, Bailyn Nackers, Emmett Nackers, Charlotte Johanek, and Joseph Johanek. She is also survived by her brothers, cousins, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Marjorie Metzner, her brother, Mark Metzner and mother-in-law Norma Christiansen.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 120 W. Paradise Dr, West Bend, WI 53095. Family will greet relatives and friends before service, beginning at 12:00 p.m., Noon.
