Maria (Unsinn) Thorburn

Maria Thorburn passed away on Monday August 9 at the age of 89 years old.

 She was born in Wertach, Germany and was the much cherished daughter of Kunigunde ( Hipp ) and Anton Unsinn.

 Maria was the beloved wife of Joseph Thorburn: loving mother of Gloria (Adel Abdul Rahman ) Ratayczak, Rita Galien and Gary Ratayczak. Maria was also the proud grandmother of Nicolaus/Nick Galien, Sara Abdul Rahman and Jacob ( Sarah Survis ) Abdul Rahman.

 She was preceded in death by her loving parents, by her husband Joseph and her son Gary.

 Maria loved flowers and was an avid gardener. Daily, she spent hours in the garden among the multitude of bulbs and flowers she planted over the years. Maria kept up her hobby well into her last years. She loved all wildlife with a special place in her heart for birds and cats.

 Mass of Resurrection will be held 1:30 p.m., Saturday, August 14th at  St. Therese Chapel, 2nd floor at Holy Hill, 1515 Carmel Road, Hubertus, WI. Fr. Jude O.C.D. will officiate.   Interment Holy Hill Cemetery.
