Richard Girard Fagan (1957-2024)
Rick Fagan started a party in heaven on Monday, August 26th at age 67. Born in Milwaukee, WI, Rick was the son of James and Theresa (née Kieckbusch) Fagan. He was married to Carol (née Franklin) Fagan for 16 years. Rick believed and lived by the motto “work hard, play hard.” He worked hard by owning his own business as an electrical engineer and played hard by socializing with friends and family every moment possible. His home in Cedarburg, WI was his pride and joy, and he spent countless hours over 35 years making sure “Fagan World,” as he called it, brought its visitors as much joy as it brought him.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved Aunt Bette (née Fagan) & Uncle Bob McKnight.
Rick is survived by his loving wife Carol and his sons Keith (Katie) Fagan, Keith (Danielle) Franklin, and Andrew (Tina) Franklin. He is also survived by his siblings Greg, Peter (Ellen), & Kathleen (Al Czarnecki) Stemberger and his grandchildren Kaleb, Delaney, Kamdyn, and Delilah Franklin; Lewis and Elliot Fagan; and Colton Franklin.
Rick will be remembered fondly by countless other relatives and friends who will miss his generosity and contagious laugh.
There will be a private service to honor his legacy. Those who love him may celebrate his life when they revel in another of his favorite sayings: “Life’s journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting, ‘Holy (expletive)…What a ride!’”
