Ronald Joseph Wardius

Ronald Joseph Wardius passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at the age of 83. He was born in West Bend WI on June 10, 1937, the son of George and Josephine (née Altschaefl).

He graduated from West Bend High School in 1955 and worked as an accountant at the Amity in West Bend and at a cannery in Cambria before going to New York where he attended college at New York Pace College getting his degree in accounting. He was transferred several times to Georgia and Florida but always came back to Milwaukee.

He enjoyed playing cribbage, sheepshead and was willing to learn almost any game. He also enjoyed music, reading and working jigsaw puzzles. He was a whiz at crossword puzzles - he didn’t need to use google to find the answers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Gerald (Peggy) Wardius, his sister Lucille (Miles) Kalaher and his dear nephew and godson, Donald Schmit. He is survived by his two sisters, Phyllis (Ronald) Hill of Fredericksburg, Virginia and Linda (Erv) Schmit of Hartford, WI, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

According to his wishes, there will be no services.
