Sharon V. Bude passed away peacefully on August 13, 2026, one day before what would have been her 61st wedding anniversary with her beloved husband, Delbert A. Bude, whom she married on August 14, 1965. Del preceded her in death on May 5, 2023.
A 1960 graduate of Bay View High School, Sharon found love and joy in the simplest little things in life. After retirement, she and Del settled north of Iola, where they embraced a quiet life surrounded by nature. She enjoyed crocheting afghans for family, as well as delicate snowflakes and crocheted "spider webs" that she proudly hung in windows to help prevent bird strikes. She also loved listening to music, especially jazz and old-time country, working word searches and Sudoku puzzles, and collecting rocks, pine cones, acorns and other treasures from nature.
Sharon was known for her sharp, sometimes abrasive sense of humor. She told it like it was, and those who knew her best appreciated her wit, honesty and unique way of showing she cared.
She is survived by her daughter, Kari (Aaron); her son, Craig (Maureen); five grandchildren; a great-grandchild; sisters Marlene Golla and Loraine Golla; brother-in-law Jerry Bude, sister-in-law Diane Bude and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert; her parents, Edward and Virginia Golla; her brother, Edward Golla; sister-in-law, Mary Golla; father-in-law, Delbert Bude; mother-in-law, Genevieve Bude; brother-in-law, Neil Bude; and sister-in-law, JoAnne Bude.
Sharon will be remembered for her creativity, her independent spirit, her one-of-a-kind sense of humor and her ability to find happiness in life's simplest moments. Her family finds comfort in knowing she and Del are together once again.
The Berndt-Ledesma Funeral Home has helped serve the family.
