Susan (nee Draeger) Greasby

Susan Greasby (nee Draeger), age 77 of Iron Ridge, Wisconsin, passed away Monday, October 27, 2025, after a 15-year battle with Alzheimer’s at the Clearview Care Center in Juneau.

Susan was born October 14, 1948, in Milwaukee, WI to Ruth (nee Cook) and Alfred Draeger.  She attended Washington High School in Milwaukee and went on to beauty school, which was her lifelong career. She worked at House of Fashion in north Milwaukee and later in life at Judy’s Boutique in Slinger.  Susan was united in marriage to Alan A. Greasby in Milwaukee on May 6, 1967. Susan will be fondly remembered for her love of cats and her enjoyment of sewing, reading, watching game shows, and playing board games-especially Scrabble with Alan.

Susan is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Alan; loving children, Janet (Michael) Reitz and Lori (John) Wanninger; cherished grandchildren, Nicholas (Samantha) Reitz and Brandon Reitz; dear sister, Roberta “Bobbie” (Jim) Haley and dear friends.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Linda (Ken) Tauschek, brother-in-law, Bob Greasby; and grandson, Michael Reitz Jr.

Funeral Service for Susan will be held Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. at the Berndt Ledesma Funeral Home- 226 S. Main Street, Hartford, WI 53027. Family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 3:00 p.m. - 4:45 p.m. Future inurnment at Graceland Cemetery, Milwaukee, WI.

The Greasby Family extends their sincere appreciation for the wonderful care Susan received from the kindhearted staff of Clearview Care Center where Susan resided the last 7+ years, as well as the compassionate care provided by Common Heart Hospice.
