Susan M. (nee Skiba) Ihlenfeld

Susan M. Ihlenfeld was born to Eternal Life Monday October 30, 2023 at her home on Pike Lake in Hartford, WI at the age of 70 years. She was born February 14, 1953 the daughter of Raymond and Marie Skiba.  She is survived by her sister Sharon (James) Oelstrom, her nephew Matt (Kim) Oelstrom and Luke (Meghan) Skiba and her niece Elizabeth (Ryan Webb) Skiba and grandnieces Olive, Lily and Rose Oelstrom and Serenitti Skiba, grandnephews Ryan and Nathan Webb and Zachary Skiba.  Preceded in death by her brother Jim Skiba and her husband Mark Ihlenfeld. Also surviving are other relatives and friends.

She graduated from St. Joan Antida High School in Milwaukee and went to work for the Milwaukee Road where she met her life long friend and “boss” Jerry Blomberg. Susie worked as CFO for Jerry’s company, Midwest Rail and Dismantling for over thirty-five years. Her love for decorating and gardening was seen everywhere in her home and gardens on Pike Lake. Spring hadn’t really started till Susie got into her garden to nurture and grow the beautiful flowers she loved so much.  And no holiday went by without her attention to the decorations for the season.  Susie loved to watch horse racing, often hosted “football club” with her friends, and enjoyed reading almost anything.  She loved her little dog, Chloe.  What she enjoyed the most

was seeing and visiting with her nephew and godson Matt and his beautiful family.

A Mass of Resurrection will be held Friday, Nov. 3rd at 10:30 a.m. at St Dominic Catholic Church, 18255 W. Capital Drive, Brookfield, WI. Family will receive relatives and friends at church Friday, from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. Interment St. Mary’s Visitation Cemetery, Elm Gove, WI.
