Theresa Anatasia (Danikowski) Kasper

Theresa A. “Terry” Kasper went to be with the Lord on October 11, 2025, after a brief illness. She was born in Chicago, IL on April 15, 1932, to Frank J Danikowski and Helen Danikoski. Terry spent her first decades in the Chicago area, graduating in 1953 from St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Soon after, she married Wiliam L. Miara on September 19, 1953. They had five children, Kathryn (Michael) Rezutek, Cynthia (Marte) Reyna, William (Patti) Miara, Nancy Rettsclag, and Michael (Mari) Miara, all who live in various parts of Wisconsin and the United States.

Terry’s husband, William, passed away in 1995. In May of 2000, Terry again found love and married James F. Kasper in Juneau, WI. They made their lives there, being active in their church and other activities, James preceded Terry in death earlier this year in February. Also preceding Terry are her parents, one brother, Frank Danikowski Jr., and grandson, Patrick A. Rezutek. She also has many surviving relatives, including two brothers, Ronald and Roger Danikowski,. Her children mentioned above, 24 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was truly blessed with family.

Terry always said she liked working with the very young and very old. She worked in the newborn nursery in Chicago for many years, then at the former Watertown Memorial Hospital and various nursing homes in Wisconsin for another 20 years. At the end of her career, she chose to work as a volunteer with people in hospice care where she could give comfort to the dying, stating “this was the most gratifying of all my nursing experiences.”

Visitation will be held at the Berndt-Ledesma Funeral Home - Juneau on November 8th, 2025 at 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 AM. Private Burial will take place at a later time.
