Edward J. Wolfram of Juneau passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, Oct. 22 2017 at the age of 89. Ed was born October 16, 1928 to Edward Wolfram Sr. and Meta (nee Kuhlman) Wolfram in Clyman, WI. Ed served in the Us. Army during the Korean conflict. He was a 60-year member of Juneau American Legion Post #15. Edward farmed for many years on a farm just north of Juneau. He worked as a Custodian at Dodgeland High School and the Pyramid Supper Club. On November 24, 1956 he married Janice Nehls at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Juneau.
Ed was a long-time member of St John’s Ev. Church, Juneau where he served as an usher and mowed lawn for many years. Ed will be deeply missed by his wife Janice of 60 years. He is also survived by his loving children Ken (Deb) Wolfram of Juneau, Cathy (Jeff) Anton of Columbus, his son-in-law Kennan (Kathy Clark) Buhr, and his precious seven grandchildren; Alyssa and Mark Wolfram, Alex, Nathan, and Nick Anton, Kelsey and Kyle Buhr and his brother Robert Wolfram. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Gail, two grandsons Aaron and Adam Anton and his brother Lawrence Wolfram and other family relatives.
Ed had a love of sports. He enjoyed playing and coaching and umpiring. He also enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren playing various sports. He was a die-hard Green Bay Packer fan all his life. He will be remembered for his unique sense of humor.
Visitation is Thursday, October 26th at the Berndt Ledesma Funeral home in Juneau from 5-7:30 p.m. and Friday, October 27 from 10-11; at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Juneau. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Rev. David Brandt will officiate. Internment Juneau City cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers memorial to St. Johns Ev. Church or Juneau American Legion Post #15 would be appreciated.
